County Auditor Carri Brown has proven herself to be a
dedicated public servant and a careful steward of county finances,
serving the community with professionalism and heart.

In November of 1988, Carri Brown began her career with our county as a Deputy Auditor with the Auditor’s Office.

A career dedicated to serving Fairfield County followed as Carri faithfully served as  the county’s Chief Deputy Auditor of Finance, Child Support Director, Interim Job and Family Services Director, and currently as County Administrator.  Valuing customer service has been a hallmark of her service to our county in each of these capacities.

Fairfield County has been awarded more than 60 state and national awards for programs under Carri’s leadership, including programs for county administration, customer service, workforce development, communications, technology, public safety, and civic education. She has served on multiple state and national committees focusing on concepts grounded in servant leadership and stakeholder theory.

In 2025, Carri received the Government Finance Officers Association Excellence in Government Achievement Award and the Ohio University Outstanding Community Partner Award.

Carri Brown continues to prove she has the right skills and demeanor – and proven ability – to bring together all elected officials and leaders within the county’s political subdivisions, including townships, cities, and villages.

Meet Carri Brown

With nearly 16 years of service in the County Auditor’s Office, 12 years in top leadership positions in essential, social services, and more than eight years as the Fairfield County Administrator, Carri has the skills and experience to orchestrate repeated success for every function of the County Auditor’s Office.
